Acme Files picks, checks and publishes high-quality, popular and clean (adware and spyware free) shareware and freeware programs to serve better downloads.

We're also hosting all downloadable files on our load balanced, fast servers to provide better download quality.

 

Software Quality and Safety Policy

We don't accept software submissions and we choose popular and quality software from the market by ourselves.

For every file/software, we do several checks and tests to verify that it's corresponding to our requirements. We install them and check every stage (install, usage, uninstall) against;

Spyware

Under any circumstances we don't list any software that includes any kind of spyware.

Adware

Acme Files doesn't list any software with adware considered harmful, malicious or intrusive!

Acme Files may only list advertising-supported software that restricts advertising on actual user interface. Software must not serve ads through web browser, pop-ups, web sites outside the software's primary interface or any other kind of intrusive advertising.

Virus & Harmful/Malicious Activity

Acme Files checks every setup file and software against virus and any kind of harmful/malicious (for example: downloading file from remote sources, sending personal data to remote servers etc.) and intrusive (for example: pop-up ads, changing browser settings without clear user approval) activity before hosting downloads. Also we're checking files on our file servers against viruses.

We take these extra steps to provide safe files to our visitors, we use scanning applications including (but are not limited to) Microsoft Windows Defender (formerly known as Microsoft AntiSpyware), Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Lavasoft Ad-Aware, SpyBot Search & Destroy, Avast! Anti-Virus Home Edition, AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition.

As long as we're very serious about safety and quality of our software archive, we can guarantee 99.9% safety (unfortunetely and honestly; not 100%), and we strongly recommend you to take extra steps and install & use your own anti-spyware and anti-virus tool to keep your computer free of all unwanted badware.

If you find any problem with our downloads and file library,we beg you to contact us and we'll do "very serious" re-investigation about the reported software!
