Spyware Terminator FAQ

What do I do if spyware is detected?

If spyware has been detected, you can see a screen that allows you to manage the detected spyware. From this screen you can decide what to do for each piece of spyware detected.

The Last Scan Report consists of 4 screens:

* Threats - Here you can find the detected software that might be potentially dangerous.

* Safe SW - Here you can view detected software that is considered safe. Despite this fact, you may want to remove or move it to quarantine, which can be done at this tab.

* Unknown SW - This tab contains the list of detected software that is not included in our spyware database yet. This software may be potentially threatening for your computer. This is why we recommend that you use the "Send to Support" button to send the files for further analysis, so that they can be sorted either as a threat or safe SW next time you run the scan. To find out more, please visit the "Help us fight spyware" section.

* Scan Report - Here you can find detailed information about the most recent spyware scan.

At each tab you can perform some of the following operations:

* Always Ignore - By clicking on this button you will add the selected software to your Ignore List and it will not be marked as a threat the next time you run a spyware scan. You can manage your Ignore List using the "Ignore List" tab.

* Quarantine - Clicking on this button removes this threat from your computer and stores it in a Spyware Quarantine file. Any threats in your Spyware Quarantine file do not run on your computer but you can restore these items back to their original state at any time. (Note, some spyware threats cannot be quarantined, only deleted.)

* Remove - Selecting this action permanently removes the threat from your computer. To restore the removed software, you would have to use the System Restoration utility. To find out more about this option, please see the "Spyware Terminator advanced functions" section.
